Become a Volunteer
We’re thrilled to roll out our brand-new Volunteer Portal, built to make the volunteer process faster, smoother, and easier for everyone. For the best experience, we recommend using a computer when accessing the portal, although it’s also functional on tablets and smartphones as well.
Here’s how to get started:
Go to this link: https://
sisterschooldistrict. zohocreatorportal.com/ Create your account (Sign Up).
Complete your profile and read/sign the volunteer agreement. This helps us match you with the best opportunities in our schools!
After submitting your profile, you’ll arrive at your Volunteer Dashboard. On the right side, you’ll see each step you need to complete along with its status.
As you submit each step, its status will show “Pending” until reviewed by administration (this may take a few days).
Once a step is reviewed, the status will update to “Approved” (or “Denied” if additional action is required).
You can return to the portal anytime to check your progress or finish steps, but we recommend completing as much as possible in one sitting to speed up processing.
When all steps are marked “Approved”, you’ll get an email letting you know it’s time to stop by the District Office to pick up your new volunteer badge or update your sticker.
We hope you find this new system easy to use and super helpful! Since this is our first launch, you may run into a few bumps. If you do, please let us know at [email protected] so we can make improvements.
Thank you for stepping up to support our schools, you’re the heartbeat of our community.
There are many opportunities for parents and community members to assist in the classroom, office, or library. The staff not only appreciate your help, but also enjoys working with parents and community members.
Our volunteers have found this to be a rewarding and worthwhile experience. If you are interested, contact the office or your child’s teacher.
All three schools welcome volunteers! To protect the safety and welfare of our children, the Sisters School District conducts annual criminal background checks on all school volunteers who work directly with students, either in the classroom or on field trips.
In addition to the background check, SSD requires online training, and acknowledgement of the Volunteer Handbook.
If you are intertested in starting the volunteer process. Please download the “How to Become a Volunteer” document and follow the steps.
